Originally from Albuquerque, NM, I am delighted to be joining the Honors College Team as an Academic Counselor. Before arriving at UTSA, I had served as an Academic Advisor, where I developed a deep understanding of student needs and the myriad resources available to help them succeed. In my free time, you can often find me taking long walks with my 2 dogs, hanging out with and trying new restaurants with my husband, reading, or watching a comedy show or film.
Serving:
Having dedicated many years to serving students in higher education, I frequently find myself offering advice to high schoolers I encounter, as they prepare for their college journeys. It is profoundly rewarding to share the knowledge I have acquired to enrich their college experience. My goal is to continue serving and supporting students and empowering them to navigate their academic journeys with confidence.
Cultural Exploration:
Exploring and understanding diverse cultures has always been a profound passion of mine. I relish the opportunity to learn new languages and savor different cuisines, as I believe that language and food are powerful connectors that unite us. Whenever possible, I immerse myself in cultural events, embracing the music, dance, and history that define each tradition.
