Admission to the Honors College is offered to a select number of highly motivated and successful students who wish to take charge of their education and achieve their highest potential at UTSA.
There are no minimum test score, class rank, or GPA requirements for incoming freshmen.
Current UTSA students are automatically considered for Honors College eligibility based on their cumulative GPA and completed credit hours as of the semester prior to invitation.
We recognize Roadrunners arrive at UTSA with different backgrounds and experiences. If you are entering UTSA after a period of time in the workforce and are interested in joining the Honors College, email honorsadmissions@utsa.edu to talk to our admissions and academic counseling teams about the Honors College admissions process and curriculum requirements.
See below for the details on admission for each type of student.
