Experiential Learning Lab
The Experiential Learning Lab (ELL) is a collaborative space where students can research new opportunities to pursue, from internships in San Antonio to study abroad programs around the world. The lab will have Honors College staff present during the operating hours (see below). The ELL operates on an in-person, drop-in basis. Students wanting to request appointments, or a virtual meeting, should email the Counselors at honors.advising@utsa.edu. Please be sure to include your name and student ID.
Lab location: Graduate School and Research Building (GSR) Honors College 1st Floor: 1.204F
Students can visit the ELL for the following:
- Get advice on how to search for experiences in Professional Development, Service, Research, or Cultural Exploration
- Work on applications essays and receive feedback
- Help with crafting a resume, a personal statement, or statement of grant purpose
- Drop-in advising to talk about completing Honors requirements.
- Help with worksheet assignments for Honors 101
- Workshops
Operating Schedule
Listed below are our Experiential Learning Lab hours. You are welcome to visit any of our Honors College Staff or Peer Coaches.
In-person Hours
Monday-Thursday: 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM
Friday: 9AM-12PM and 1PM-3PM
Monday-Friday from 12PM-1PM is reserved for Honors events
Workshops
Honors offers a variety of workshops from experience opportunities, professional development, graduation preparation, funding & resource information, and more! Be sure to also check out our workshops, which will be held during the 12PM-1PM lunch hour or the 4PM-5PM hour, on select days via RowdyLink.
Individual Appointments
While the ELL is a public collaborative space, students are also welcome to make private, individual appointments with their Honors College Counselor or Peer Coach. Students can either email their Honors Counselor or Peer Coach directly, or email honors.advising@utsa.edu. Please be sure to include your name and student ID.
