Bio

Languages: English, Spanish

I was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, I married a soldier and moved around the US until he retired in 2011. Since then, we have called San Antonio home. I have two children, one is a Roadrunner and one is an Aggie. I have worked in the Office of Development at UTSA for eight years. In my years at UTSA, I have seen the university grow and expand exponentially. It has been a pleasure to do my part in making these ideas become realities.

I get to tell the stories of the wonderful accomplishments of our students and faculty to our community partners and create collaborations with the purpose of bringing investments to the university and the programs that I represent. I am very collaborative. I love to engage with other colleagues across the different disciplines to find innovative projects that we can present to investors that want to be active participants in the work we do.

I love what I do. I think of myself as a matchmaker that connects founders with opportunities across campus that impact our students lives and enhances their experiences to help them reach their potential. As we create new knowledge through the work of our faculty, I connect them with stakeholders that support our journey as we tackle the world’s challenges. Their support comes in different ways to include time, talent and treasure. We engage with alumni that become our ambassadors in the community spreading the word about the amazing things happening in our campuses.
