Seventeen UTSA students have been named recipients of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The award is designed to promote study abroad amongst Americans, allowing students of underrepresented groups to pursue international experiences to study, intern, or do service learning projects abroad.

Romo Endowed Professorship awardees bring unique experiential courses to UTSA students

The two-year appointment recognizes faculty in the UTSA Honors College who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, leadership and service to students.

Alba Chocron, a first-year, biomedical engineering student is ready for her new journey as a UTSA Roadrunner. A 2022 graduate of San Antonio's Clark High School, Chocron wasted no time getting involved on campus—from joining the intramural tennis team to becoming a part of the Engineering Freshman Interest Group (FIG), a program within the Margie and Bill Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design.

Biochemistry student earns prestigious Goldwater Award to continue research that will demystify sensory disfunction

Samantha Oviedo, a UTSA junior majoring in biochemistry, has been named a Barry Goldwater Scholar. The award is the most prestigious national scholarship bestowed on undergraduate students engaging in undergraduate research in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics.
