Howard and Nancy Terry created the Terry Foundation® to help young people help themselves. Their desire to invest in Texas students was born of their belief that a university – like the state it represents – is only as good as the educated citizens it produces. The legacy of Howard and Nancy Terry lives on in the thousands of Scholars who bear their name and exemplify the Four Pillars of the Terry Scholarship Program every day: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Community.
There will be a temporary closure of the UT San Antonio Scholarship HUB in September. The exact dates are still to be determined and the system will be unavailable for up to one week. Please note that any information you have entered into the Terry Scholars application prior to the maintenance closure will not be lost. When the system reopens you may be asked to resubmit information for the UT San Antonio General Application but all information from the Terry Scholars application will be preserved and you will be able to continue your application process.

Terry Scholars are selected based on three criteria:
Zenetta Hinojosa is a senior psychology major, with dual minors in neuroscience and biology. Zenetta got an early start exploring research opportunities at UT San Antonio by volunteering in a psychology research lab her freshman year. Since then, she has completed research internship programs at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. She is also UT San Antonio’s first Goldwater Scholar in the psychology field. An aspiring clinical psychologist, Zenetta hopes to bridge existing gaps in care for underserved populations through both research and community outreach.
