Where Traditions and Modernism Intersect

Every other year, the Honors College offers a 2-week program that takes place in Japan. This program is led by Professor Mimi Yu of UTSA Department of Modern Languages and Literatures (MLL). Please email Prof. Yu with questions about the program. This program is scheduled to run again in May 2025.

However, the 2024 UTSA Summer Program in Japan will be offered through the MLL so interested Honors students should apply here. This course is JPN4213 but will cross-list with HON3233.

The deadline is Oct. 6, 2023, but may close a week early due to a possible large applicant pool so apply early. Read the "2024 Summer Study Abroad in Japan" flyer here.

Honors students can apply for an Honors Study Abroad Planning Award to use in the 2024 Japan Program.
