Advising

To apply, you must have picked a study abroad program to write about. The Study Abroad office generally assists with this process.  We help students:

  • discuss how their program and country location relates to future career goals.
  • tell their story and relate their academic interests.
  • write about being a citizen diplomat, representing the United States abroad.

We also work with students on the application submission process and as Gilman campus reprsentatives, we can access your application in the Gilman Scholarship portal.

Students can meet with our office individually.  We also host info sessions throughout hte year, and record them.  Our advising guide for the Gilman Scholarship can be accessed through our self-enrolled Canvas dashboard.
