Many national awards require a university nomination or endorsement, as dictated by the foundation offering the award. Some awards will also limit the number of students per university who can apply to an award. The Office of Nationally Competitive Awards uses campus deadlines to both review applications and arrange for campus endorsement, or in the case that an award limits the number of nominations, the office will organize committees to decide which students will represent UTSA.

The tables below show which awards require campus endorsement and will list the internal UTSA deadline. Although some awards do not have a campus endorsement, if you would like advice on the application, you should plan to contact us at least 4 weeks before the national deadline.
